As she continues to promote her new A24 filmThe Drama,Zendayais only amplifying thebridal influences, and thehistorical fashion references.
So far, the Emmy winner has rolled out what has been perhaps her bestmethod dressing streakyet, with a series of bride-inspired ensembles to coincide with the central marriage of her new romantic drama film. But it's not just that the looks have been on theme—they've also been full of Easter eggs for fashion fans.
Last week, there was the straplessvintage Cachè designwith a floral decoration, which was once worn by Carrie Bradshaw, and in a different variation 20 years earlier, by Whitney Houston. Then, shereworeone of her most iconic red carpet looks to date—the off-the-shoulder Vivienne Westwood dress she wore at the Academy Awards in 2015.
But the references just keep getting better, and last night, Zendaya and her stylist,Law Roach, upped the ante.

For the Los Angeles premiere ofThe Drama, Zendaya arrived in a lacy white ensemble from the Harris Reed Demi-Couture collection, which was directly inspired by a similar set worn by Prince at a concert in 1985.
The ensemble consisted of a poet top and slacks in an intricate floral lace, with the shirt featuring a ruffled jabot and flouncy cuffs, while the pants featured a foldover wrap panel in the front with buttons arching up the hip and flared bottom hems adding a romantic touch.
In a post commemorating the moment, Reed wrote: "A sneaky little peek of the sensational @zendaya last night wearing Harris Reed Fluid Bridal, directly inspired by Prince's 1985 iconic all white lace stage outfit. An image that has remained one of my greatest inspirations of all time."
We may still not know the real details behind Zendaya'srumored wedding, but when she's delivering incredible fashion references like these, quite frankly, what does it matter?
